When I first purchased the phone on Friday, I thought wow this is different. Agian, being used to the Android system I thought that maybe I just needed to get used to it.
Things I Liked
1.) I'm not a HUGE music buff like my brother-in-law's but always thought it was cool at gatherings that they had their little ipods on the little speaker stand and it sounded really good. So the music thing was not that big of a deal to me....although it was cool.
2.) Siri was awesome, you could ask her about anything and her responses was usually right on.
Things I didn't like
1.) The first thing I noticed was a lack of internet speed, but it is 3g. There is a HUGE difference between 3g & 4g. For instance the fish forums usually have a lot of pics. When I would go to it on my Droid, ALL pics were loaded before I could snap my fingers. With the iPhone it was almost like I was back on dial up and the pictures "rolled" one by one and took a bit to open (for instance this thread). Once it was in my history it was fine. I also didn't like the screen size, was used to a much bigger one.
2.) Second thing was not being able to customize your screens. I loved that the Bionic had 5 screens (or more), you could see social network updates such as facebook right on the screen without having to open the app or browser. I always liked the favorates (in contacts).
3.) The final straw that broke the camel's back was Saturday. I was working and figured I would watch the football game. So I went to ESPN website to watch the live stream and guess what, turns out Apple doesn't feel that Adobe's Flash Player is the "future" and won't allow it on their products (didn't know this as I never owned anything by Apple). Well unfortunately when Job's made that comment, we are still living in the "Now" and right now 75% of the sites use this and to me, it's very important. I can't watch any network shows online with it ie Fox, ABC, NBC, etc. No live streams of sports, nothing. I also don't like the fact that I can't be on my phone and online at the same time (which I can with my Droid as long as I'm in 4G).
All together, there were just a lot of things that I didn't like. It is a cool phone but it just doesn't fit my needs. Also, work sends me a lot of stuff in Word, Excel, Powerpoint. I got an email (hotmail) in Excel and my phone didn't have it. Fortunately the browser supported it and I was able to view it, just not make changes as it was html.
