Default Picture resizing for the web etc.

I know that Dakar is working on automating basic picture uploading so that resizing and such is done automatically. That is a great idea for everyone, but until it's done and even after it is, I would be more than happy to resize, crop or customize any photo's for any and all Captive Reefing members! Just give me a holler! I have a pretty good background in "self taught" graphic art, and love the challenge of the work, so toss them my way if you need something done. It doesn't even have to be totally related to our salty world. Family, vacation, baby photos etc. I have worked with wedding photo's, graduation pics, skin touch ups, eye coloring, just for example. I hope that maybe I can help someone out there that hasn't shared their beautiful tank with us simply because they may have felt odd asking for help with picture sizing and uploading. I did that before on a board I belonged to and missed out on a lot of good info. Pictures can be so important to someone that is helping you. Plus we all like to look! I hope this offer turns out to be one that is of use here if needed. It's just a little perk provided to our members here at Captive Reefing! :D

I use Adobe 7. It can't have changed that much from 4 can it? Who knows? I love the program. It's my other right hand. It's a little odd to explain to someone, but when you save a photo, simply press the "save for web" setting in Adobe. It automatically saves it at the lowest resolution possible and makes it ready for uploading. Still need help? You can always send me the photo and I'll resize it for you. I should be around til 10pm tonight! :D
