If I were a betting man I would put my money on an intermittent stray voltage or shock. I remember my uncle talking about a few stray volts causing cows to produce less milk. Now if a "few stray...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I've got a 55 and I'm using a SCWD. Have you ever thought about one of those? They are fairly inexpensive and do a pretty good job. It wouldn't do anything in a 500 gal, but with a...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Have you ever tried asking the LFS what they can order and for how much? My LFS will order whatever I want as long as I'm specific. It will save you on shipping, since they can get...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#It was dead in the morning. Guess it's time to go to the store and get another one after I cover the intakes. What do you guys use to do that? I've heard of using nylons, but have...

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#So I finally got an anenome the other day. With the return pump being a mag 9.5 to a SCWD and there not being much of a lift you can imaging I get pretty good flow in my tank. I've...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#About an hour after I got him in the tank I saw him rip apart one of those darn red bugs. It was great, too bad he hasn't off'ed more of them. I haven't seen him go after any of my...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I'm going to be getting an arrow crab after work today to take care of the little red bugs in my tank. I've been told that these crab are great for getting rid of these bugs. Do any...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#sounds like something my cats would do if they were a fish. Hey if anyone is interested Downtown Pet in La Crosse has two fairly large puffers there that have been there for awhile...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#If you read my blog on CR you'll find that I had a few LTA's pop out of my rock work after I got it into my tank. I feed them some of the larger peices of krill out of the jar I...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I just got done setting my 55gal up last month after talking about it on this board for about 3 months. Listen to what i have to say if you want, it's up to you after all. I have two...
What kind of star is it? My GF wants one but I'm not sure if a 55 gal is big enough. Anybody had good luck with a star that doesn't tip everything over and is happy in a 55?
Are you still looking to order or am I too late? I get to La Crosse on nearly a daily basis, how far are you from there?
So only one vote, oh well. Thanks for the other advise. The tank's water parameters haven't changed a bit, always at or extremely close to ideal. I'm thinking about a condy and clown or an awesome...
extremely cool pics.
how do they act in the tank? as friendly as a cleaner shrimp or do they tend to knock things over or hide? and what lighting and camera for the pics? I just got a cannon...
I would think that a pump with similar flow, even if it were a x number of feet a way, would work the same way, if the impeller weren't in the way to reduce flow, as when the unit's integral pump...
I seem to remember seeing something like that at the LFS. Could it be an anemone crab? It seems to be positioned and colored about the same way as the ones at the LFS. I could be wrong though...
I'm just doing some research right now. I'm not planning on getting on for a while. I tested all parameters and they were all ideal, so I guess using all his water, sand and rock did work pretty...
