Go LED or stick with the 250 Watt HQI.
The "punch" you are looking for will cook most of the critters in your tank.... and by cook I mean temps and an massive amounts of radiation.

I was thinkin' some aluminum angle pieces to make a cradle for it. Then suspend the cradle with adjustable turnbuckles... at least that would work for me since I'm planning a canopy suspension.

Since I got these zoas I've had 3 of the colonies melt away and about 4 of my other colonies have melted. I'm not sure why exactly.
