Great tank build Jamie. haven't been around in a while, just wanted to stop by and say hello. Glad to see you're still going strong in the hobby.
I'm sure I have some heaters, and not sure about the sand. I kind of want the whole tote gone. it's used
I have some stuff I NEEED gone to make room so here comes a list.
120 gallon tank 2'x2'x4' oak trim drilled with duel overflows and a stand asking $350 for tank and stand
55 gallon tank...
absolutely fantastic my friend, hope you're bringing some of those frags to the swap this weekend.
Do you have any smaller rasta frags like one or two polyps?
Christine and I will be there early to help with whatever you need.
Just thought I would share my little reef I started at the beginning of the winter semester. It is a work in progress but is coming along nicely and I feel could be an extremely nice tank in the near...
If you started out with all that at once that is likely the reason for some minor instabilities. A wise man once told me; "In a reef tank no rapid change is good, even a change for the better."...
The article doesn't explicitly say ferric oxide will reduce pH or raise pH.However, It does say that Ferric oxide has a relationship with oxygen in terms of sorbtion. Which basically was the answer I...
will it grow in a 3g tank? ;)
nah your fine, enjoy your pristine water quality.
your system is 110 gallons and you wont do a 10g water change all at once? Even if you did a 10 gallon change at once, it will hardly do anything to your system. Also, here's a nice little write up...
Where do you have access to this type of magnification? I would play with this all day. I'm hoping further in my college career I will be able to enjoy things like this.
Time to learn the chemistry of dosing! yaaay!
Good heaters, I actually just ordered a 25w hydor theo for my pico.
Some would argue that once the parasite is in the main tank it is there indefinitely. I know after my rookie mistake of not quarantining in my old 55 gallon I would quarantine all my fish a minimum...
Sounds like a lot of work for nothing being wrong. Instead of hooking your tank up to pure O2 like it has emphysema, try pointing some power heads at the surface, that's usually what people do for...
Glad to see your tank coming along, reminds me that I need to get some pictures of my desktop pico I started for college, I think you'll like it :)
In that case id still go with ocean blue since it's closer to 20k but still shouldn't be overly blue
