good point, I did check to make sure that no salt had built up in the air line. This does happen to mine too.
I have a turboflotor multi 1000 protein skimmer which until recently was working fairly well. Now when I plug it in the pump (oceanrunner 2500) seems to be "burping" but not putting out the pressure...
interested in some frags if they are still avail. How much for shipping to 59803?
Hope the anemone turns around with the new lights. It sure looked nice before. Anyone have suggestions for good livestock. The LFS is hit and miss when it comes to nice fish. I see the ones...
I know that if you have hair algea, that the phosphates are higher than desired. But what I don't know is, does a phos binder help with this? I saw a brand at petsmart called phos-x, but what I'm...
what a beauty!
thanks everyone, I am leaning towards the blenny from the results of the thread. One other thought would be adding a Foxface lo. I have been told they are excellent at eating hair algea. Any...
I have some green hair algae growing again, so far not bad though.
I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on what would be the best for this, adding $20 worth of crabs or a lawnmower blenny. I have...
thanks. I think they are great. They have a lot of personality. I got them from dr foster and smith and so far have been very impressed. I plan on doing business with them again. PS it's great...
I had a 55 gal tank that was overrun with green hair algea. I wound up taking this tank down and just focusing on my larger tank. I had some live rock in the tank which I was going to store until I...

I recently got a couple dwarf angels. A flame and a bi-color. They are both doing really well, but I was noticing they are not real aggressive eaters. They do seem to graze a lot on the rocks, and...
The tank was over 3 years old with the livestock when I bought it. I transferred a majority of the water that was in the tank when I moved it, with about 25% new. I have had the tank for about 4-5...
boy you got that right. First to answer some q's. I just tested my water and the phos is 0.0, nit/ammonia 0, pH was low-around 8. so I added some buffer. I have been keeping my lights at around 8...
well, it's been a while now, and all but 1 fish died. My Koran is doing ok, but anytime I try to do anything much in the tank, like clean anything, it starts looking sick again...That being said, it...
I noticed that my water is getting hot, (about 80 F) which might be one reason my fish are dying. My house is warm but I can't say it is severly hot...It was 77 F in the house and 80 F in the tank...
more death this afternoon...Now the clown is dead and my other fish are again not looking so good. Is it possible to ever get the chemicals out of the system once they are introduced? I am afraid...
i feed 1 time daily, but take 1 day off/week. I only put enough in to allow the fish to eat for 3 minutes or so. They are pretty aggressive eaters. I have tried cutting my lighting back as well. ...
thanks for the advice. Happy to say the rest of the inhabitants are still alive on day 2 of "panic attack" day. I am going to have to be much more careful in the future. Of course now I am...
