Default Need a few IDs Please *pics*

This sprung up overnight and I have noticed areas popping up in other areas of the tank as well - mainly on the back glass and a few other places on the rock.
I fed the tank some brine shrimp a stray piece got caught on this guy and I witnessed a sort of tugging going on - like it was fighting over it. It twitches.

These I spotted about 2 weeks ago - have tried to ID it several times without any luck... the tentacles retract when its bothered. I do have an aiptasia in the tank - but these look nothing like it. They are VERY small there are about 8 or 9 total

Thanks in advance - this is a new tank awaiting a TBS package - would like to know what these things are before I add the TBS.

Doesn't look anything at all like the variety of aptasia we grow here... IMO it looks pretty cool. Maybe one of the older salts can ID that guy for you.

Welcome Aboard and BTW a great macro shot!

I'd hate to remove them also. The second picture you posted is quite extraordinary! I'd love to see a closer shot of them to. Those you say are all attached to each other? What were your most recent additions and where did you get them from? Even if it was a while ago now, I would go back to the last store you visited and see if they have had anything like these animals appear in your tank? There may have been just enough of some left behind to float off and nestle in on your reef before it finally decided to make it's appearance! Ver inteteresting at best. Keep us up to date with what you find there in the long run!! Oh by the way, welcome to Captive Reefing!! We hope you decide to stay and chat here and chat with us all for awhile!! ........Angel

most recent additions as far as When I noticed these guys was simply 12 lbs of Fiji LR along with 20 lbs of Some dead base rock.... mainly only to supply a base for the TBS package I ordered.

I should bring down pictures to the LFS and ask.

They seem to be filter feeders - they really jumped out at me once I started feeding phyto.

Something was living on that live rock and you got yourself some hitchhikers mahaps! It wouldn't hurt to take the pictures to your LFS. You never know, someone may have seen them there.
