I am the proud owner of 2 lil Acros. 1 is a Turaki and the other is a Digitfera. The Turaki's color is stuck between a greenish/purpleish and I'm sure it's because of my tank. I'm getting wonderful polyp extension and growth from her but just not a good solid color of green which she was when I first got her.
The Digitfera however is a different story. Totally beautiful green, great polyp extension and awesome growth.
So here's my question. I'd like to get a few more Acros but of the same kind as the Digitfera as it's doing better color wise in my tank. Do Digitfera's come in different colors? Are there other Acros out there similar to the Digitfera?
Congrats on entering the wonderful yet challenging world of acros. Proper identification of acropora among hobbyists and even dealers is often sketchy at best. I could order Indonesian acros from 2 different sources and they would identify the same coral differently. I would recommend some multi generation captive frags. Corals that have been in captivity for an extended period of time and fragged over and over tend to be heartier than maricultured or wild specimens.[COLOR="Silver"]
