So using a single point light source which side should get the full light and which shaded. I flipped it in the pics so you can see each side.

Nice Soli. It will be cool when it colors up.

it browned a lot from the harsh dipping, hopefully it will come back quick.
I have had decent luck with not to many brown-outs. I think it will come back though. What color was it pre-dip?

So I am a SPS newbie and looking to make the plunge soon. The dipping you are referring to is for parasites etc before placing it to your main tank? Is this loss of color common?
Speedstar, I frequent many different sites and although QTing fish and corals is common, not many people are familiar with the process, technique and how to to QTing animals. Maybe you could make a sticky on how you dip different species of corals, in what type of solution, how long etc.
I think the reasons and advantages we more experianced reefers or even
novice reefers understand. But the exact process and methods are not.
Thanks

That is a great idea, i am not much of a writer but will come up with something. I only have experience with SPS as that is really all i've done. I have some crazy concoction's for curing hammers and torch's but they drugs are not commonly available.
I'll get something up n sticky soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
