I just got xenia last week. I loved the pulsing of these corals. The only place I can put this coral it is causing it to be waving all over the place. Is this good for it. The pulsing action had either stopped or I cant see it anymore because of the water motion. I actually think the movement looks good but it doesn't look like its healthy for the coral. The other side of the tank has less motion but on that side is the return for the refugium and is filled with star polyps and a Kenya tree which are both attached. The xenia seem to extend pretty far during the day and sway around quite a bit and 2 hours before lights out it shrinks up. Is all this bad.
My xenia likes to sway in the current versus being blown. Also my xenia retracts all of polyps down until it looks like cauliflower right after lights out. It stays kind of closed up most of the night and then expands in the morning again.
