    Default xania

I have a stalk of xania that appears to be shriviling. The trunk of the stalk is getting skinner and skinner. It is also a purplish color. Everything else is doing fine and my other xania don't show any change. Any ideas and should I move it to another tank and see how it does. It just starter doing it this week. Has been in this tank since december and had been growing well. I did frag a small portion about 3 weeks ago.

Double check your SG, ca, alk, and PH... instability in any of these areas seems to show very quickly in xenia... If you're using Oceanic Salt and heve not used a buffer, this can be a reason for a raised ca and a lowered alk which could result in an unstable parameter45 without the use4 of a PH buffer.Any recent larger waterchanges???

Have you tested for phosphates??? If they're a bit high... another waterchange and possibly some kent phosphate sponge for a day or 2 will set things straight.
