coral problem

    Exclamation coral problem

    i need an id for this coral and also what could be wrong with it as although i aint experienced i know something aint right.
    and if possible what can i do to save the poor thing.i think it is some kind of leather but not sure which and it does`nt open out and its finger like spines dont come out anymore either...

    does it have a stalk on the bottom that it stands on ?? do you have a pic of what is wrong with it ??

    i think we got it figured out Don, thanx though. i think it is just shedding the dead tissue and algea.

    I would agree with that is shedding the tissue. I would check our Iodine levels maybe adding a little will smooth the tissue sheading. Is it discoloring at the base?

    says it is kind of "really faded green around the edges". mine looks like that when it sheds.

    thanks guys after moving to higher ground in tank location all seems normal again thanks for all the advice and id of the coral very much appreciated.
