I got this leather at a recent frag swap and I am a little confused. It's like it doesn't have a foot/ stem to it, it's just a cup shape. Do all leather corals have some type of stem, or do some of them just lay flat on a rock? I can a get a picture...but he won't smile. I will post it later.
...I think my fish just farted.

Well, they all attach to the substrate. Some have longer stems than others.Yours might be a Lobopytum sp. from the way you describe it.
