My mom just brought a xenia home for me last night! i don't know what kind it is though. how do i take care of it. i have the temp. at 78 and i put him in moderate water flow and they don't need to be feed right. do they just do photosynthesis and pick up elements like iodide?

They are filter feeders so yes they will eat Phyto. along with anything else they find in the water.

do they like water circulation? or do they like a bit more still water so they can pulse. because it seems kind of pointless to pulse when the water is going by them faster than they can pulse it.

A little flow is good, just don't want them to feel like thery are in a huricane or something.
