Here is reef photography in a nutshell

1. Clean glass. Everywhere , the whole tank, corners ,seems, everywhere.(Very Important)

2. Turn off flow, return pumps, wavemakers , powerheads.(Very Important)

3. Use a tripod.(Very important)

4. Practice with F-stop, Iso, and white balance when not shooting in raw. Don't be afraid to learn your camera. Once you learn it ,you will be amazing yourself.(Very Important)

5. Take a lot of pictures .If you do not like them delete them.(Very Important)

6.Practice ,Practice ,Practice.


I have taken thousands of photo's.Out of those thousand's, maybe 5 to 10 percent of them come out the way I want to. I am no professional by any means, I can only take pics within my knowledge of my camera's abilities.
