    Default Vacation Zoo colony score!!

While on vaca, stopped by R Captive Reef in Ludington and scored this massive colony of whammin watermelons. Has got about 300 polyps on it. Has about 20-30 each of what the guy said was blue steeles but they don't look like that to me, and 20-30 of either bam bams or orange cremecicles. Can't wait to get this in my tank and see how it looks under good lights.

they MIGHT be blue steels, we will see. There lighting kinda sucked so I don't think it was showing the colors off too well. There are just onsies scattered throughout the colony. Any tips for killing the monster aptasia?? I've heard injecting lemon juice works, but not sure I have a syringe around the house. Can I just cut it off with a fillet knife at the base, they are pretty big??

ur best bet is to get aptasiaX.

I wouldn't risk cutting it or even touching it, the slighest hint that its being annoyed might release spores into your tank which will give you a bigger problem.

    and just to clarify.

Blue steel's have a bright green ring around the mouth and a bright green ring in the skirt.
