In my "dirty" tank (elevated po4 and no3) my zoas were all ugly, and didnt grow very well.
In my "clean" tank all my polyps look stunning! Wide open, all the time- very nice colors!! Mine have smaller polyps than normal and do not stretch either. I do feed heavily though...just keep the water quality much cleaner than in the past.
