    Yep, I usually get an outbreak of them when I cycle a tank, you'll even get the spiral version on the back of the tank and the glass. Nothing to worry about. As Rabidgoose said they can indicate excess nutrients, but they don't harm anything so there's no need to remove them or anything drastic.
