Yesterday was a very long day. We had a Major storm Friday night here in Twin Falls area along with a very large brush fire and the power was out for 27 hours.
I ran my backup air pump Friday night and then Saturday with the power still out I went and picked up a generator. The problem was this happened to my tank at work. I have been baby sitting my tank and generator all day.
I know many have said this in the past but get yourself a generator if you don't have one. I did find a 1250W rated at 800W for $129.00. I ran all pumps and only 2 lights all day and I think everything is going to be fine. We all know what it cost to replace our livestock so it's worth the cost to get one.
Totally agree. I have a more expensive generator that can produce 6250 Watts of power, but I run the tank, fridge, tv, computer and some lights on it. Very convenient when you have no power for an extended duration.
Slim, BOY YOU AINT KIDDING!!! Man that storm here was CRRAAAZZZY like 60 mile an hour gusts. I was lucky and didnt lose power but every 20 minutes i was calling my house to make sure the answering maching kicked on so I knew I still had power.
