Breeding Journal: Amphiprion Ocellaris

Just did my first water change. Took out 3 gallons and replaced with 5 gallons 1.024 salinity. Temp dropped to 77.8. I did suck up one fish but he was promptly scooped out of the bucket and put back into the tank with all his brothers.
It is now day 5 on the Otohime A diet and they all doing just great.

My clowns haved reached metamorphasis, the stage when they go from larval fish to juvenile fish. To my understanding you can tell when they enter metamorphasis they start to show swimming movements like that of a normal adult clownfish.
Here is a video that I took on monday. Still trying to figure some things out with the corel video studio. But I think it's good for now.

At the end of meamorphasis they start to show their striping. Then they go into settlement.
Here is a picture I took just a little while ago.


This one here has a very faint belly stripe also.

Even though this is my second time raising clownfish it is still so exciting!!

Thanks. I tried to get an offical count and it was very hard. I keep getting around 68 to 70.

Following along with ya. I just woke up this morning like a kid on Christmas day. I just had my first set of babies hatch. Only a quarter of the clutch hatched and hopefully the rest will follow suit tonight. This is pretty exciting, hopefully I too will have success. My pair is on it's 5th set. Having hatched on the 7th day.

Congrats Mike. You have Ocellaris babies too? if the eggs are still clear and silvery they most likley will hatch tonight. I could stand and watch them all day if I had the free time. Make up a Journal and keep us all posted.
