    Default Probe holder

The suction cup on the DA temp probe stopped sucking (or did it start?) and I got tired of the probe just hanging loosely in the sump. I toyed with the idea of buying a magnetic probe holder, saw the prices, and decided I could make something that would do the job at a much lower cost. Here's the result...
    IMG 5685 - Probe holder

Using scrap plexi-glass I had laying about I:

    1. cut two pieces to size (the wall piece is thinner than the horizontal piece),
    2. filed and sanded the exposed edges,
    3. drilled two 1/2 inch holes in the thicker piece,
    4. superglued them together,
    5. used the existing Tunze Osmolator magnet to hold it, and finally
    6. dropped the temp probe in.

All in all a pretty straight forward project that cost zero dollars.
