I'd agree that its an A. echinata, and yes they should touch nothing else. Unless you want something dead, mines taken out a plating monti(stupid crab knocked the frag right on top of mine...stupid crab) killed a few zoas, attacked my colt coral before I sold it, and so on and so forth. i have a few, and they seem to be crowded on the skeleton.
the polyps are crushing together is this ok or is there something you can do to seperate them
