    Jerry I'll fight you on the 10K's hee hee I'll put my 6500K saki's up against any bulb you can find for overall health and growth of any coral.

    CRI - Color rendering index, scale that goes from 0-100 with 100 being as close to natural sunlight as possible.

    PAR - Photosynthetically Active Radiation, this is what our photosyntetic animals live on. The higher the PAR the more 'food' for them. Also the higher PAR can be looked at as it *generally* means the deeper into the water light is able to penetrate (with more of the color spectrum).

    I agree just left it out because so very few use it anymore.

    But for growth its the top end

    The 400 watt metal halide at Home Depot was 197.00. Sorry i didn't answer sooner I didn't see the question. They also have a 175 watt @ 160.00 and a 70 watt lamp @ 117.00.
