You could make your system much more compact by mounting the booster pump on the top bracket, toss the two horizontal DI tubes and convert one of the vertical canisters to a real DI filter and I have a question on the permeate pump. Do you have a drinking water type pressure tank in the system somewhere too? If not the permeate pump serves no purpose since they rely solely on the backpressure in a bladder tank to drive the piston which is what saves waste water.
I have my booster pump and power supply mounted next to the membrane on the top bracket and my two dual inline TDS meters are mounted to the front of the bracket so its all nice and compact. http://www.spectrapure.com/manuals/P...DLY/MC-UHE.pdf
I pump treated water into a 23 gallon Rubbermaid recycling can which fits nicely in a corner next to the hot water heater so its out of the way.
lionhead, running mucltiple sediment filters and carbon are often a bad thing and serve no purpose. The problem is every additional filter has an associated pressure or head loss through it so you are in essence starving the membrane of needed pressure. A single high quality sediment filter 1 micron or less and absolte rated instead of nominal rated and a single 0.5 or 0.6 micron 20,000 gallon chlorine guzzler type carbon block will serve you better.
The pump is fine the way it is and I'll keep the two DI--TxPerminate pump is hooked up like the manufactor suggest and yes there is a bladder tank in the closet that is redirected to the water softner thanks for your thought's anyway.I updated the orignal post with the new dual DI's(they hold 2.5#'s of di) I think everyones systems look sharp and the point was to share not critcize so hopefully others will keep the pics comeing.
I did not critize, I gave you some experienced advice that could improve your system andsave you money on DI in the future. Water treatment is my profession and has been for 35 years, it's what I do for a living but you can take it or leave it.

Woo didn't mean to twist your nozzle, advice is fine when it's asked for but publicly posted advice without inquire is another thing. No harm and I do see your points. But wouldn't you come of little more helpful if you just say hey guy,I see some room for improvemnt I'll shoot ya PM instead of this is wrong and do this and that.I respect your experience but question your presentation that's all.I like your sytem tho

I guess I was trying to help you please Mrs. Binford. Go back to your very first sentence of this thread.
I have lots of do dads on my RO/DI too and if they took up that much real estate my Wife would shoot me. By keeping it compact I'm in her good graces. Maybe I'm wrong here but you seemed to be asking for photos of other systems so maybe you cold please the wife?

WOW,your just not going to let this go are you.I will your right I'm wrong I'll go spend 800+ dollars on an ro and a new garbage can to be like you. This thread was meant to be a fun way for people to show what they got and that's all and maybee give someone a name to talk to if they like what they saw and and wanted nore info.I started my thread that way as humor, you know a joke a stab at my screen name(tooltime,Tim Allen) A way to get a chuckle out of someone. My wife and I have been very gracious to the thread comunity and fellow reefers who enjoy this hobby but sometimes are tight on cash and need the equipment anyway, and we have responded many times never asking anything in return. So you want to get the wife in it,ok.She's fine with it really and for several reasons.1 the brine is not sent down the drain and wasted it's stored and recirculated to our house water softner,it also is used for the de humifier and the dog too! 2 it is spread out like that so it's easy to change filters and to find leaks if they occur and she can even change filter easily herself if I'm living at work as usual,I work hard and the wife has close to 3000 sp ft so it's really not that much room.3 the pump and power supply are above the unit because it's electrical and the ro has water in it,should be a no brainer,4 the dual di's are being used 1st because the manufactor designed it that way and 2nd the dual add on di manufactor recomended to leave them in place to get the expected 20,000 gallons of water it's meant to filter before replaceing it,that's allot of RO 5 this attitude is another example why I'll go back to staying off these fourms. You are an expert so try to act like one.Personaly I am sorry to start a thread in your subject matter now and kinda thought you'd be a problem when I started this thread. Goodluck to you and CR !!

Thanks Badfish for the plans of my system. I picked up 2 55 gallon plastic barrels yesterday and got it plumbed today. System comes tomorrow.
Your welcome, I just took others ideas and added a few of my own. I'd love to see some pics when its done, it's going to make your tank maintenance so much easier.
