    ok...well I did some more looking around and noticed that the M80 is a magnetic ballast......

    from what I understand, HQIs are "supposed" to be coupled with electronic ballasts correct?


    what I'm understanding is that the mogal bulbs can get about the same/the same amount of light as the HQIs for about half the cost?

    I plan on building a wood housing like I did for my NO florecents so I can go either way (whatever I end up with, I'll built the housing to fit)......

    IMO, Moguls are terrific!!! I use both on my system(HQI and Mogul) and I really don't see so much a difference as to why one is better than the other(other than your personal physical limitations... space, size, etc). I run my HQI on an HQI ballast.
    There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying

    Greg,that would be great,I had the layout spaced apart so it was easy to interpret,for some reason when i submitted it,the spacing got all screwed up.
