Default problem with bubble blaster hy2000s

well i had the plastic casing on my bubble blasters impeller magnet crack and swell up. so after talking to coralvue's customer service they replaced it for me no problem. the only problem is that after messing around with the newer style hy2000s pump and getting it to fit right on my xp2000i skimmer the pump won't flow enough.

the old pump seemed like it was almost too big on the skimmer and really did a great job but the new one won't even flow enough to draw much air at all.

has anyone had any experience with the newer hy2000s pumps? does anyone else have this skimmer? any suggestions are very appreciated.

wow that really sucks. how do they power their newer xp series skimmers? there is no way this pump could do it.

Had a similar problem with a 6 month old pump on my skimmer. Ended up throwing the blaster pump in the trash and going with a tunze hydrofoamer. Now the skimmer rocks!!! I hate those blaster pumps.
