I got home from running errands this morning to find my new clam closed up. There was a snail crawling on the shell so figured "no big deal" but a few minutes later I noticed my purple tang pick at the clam. My first thought was maybe the clam had some algae on it, so I sat and watched for a minute and sure enough as soon as the clam peaked out again, the tang would take a bite at it. I am like "STOP that". Tangs aren't suppose to like to eat clams!!! Its not like the tang is starving, in fact she is fat. There is a ton of caelpra in there, that she doesn't touch, but she picks at my new clam. Ugh. I have fashioned a shelter for the clam out of some grid panel so the clam is safe from the tang but what do I do now. I am guessing there is no fixing the problem with out removing one of them. Does anyone have any other ideas?
