    Sad to say, he lost the battle with the ich outbreak. I knew they were prone to it when I bought it. It was a chance I took and I will not do it again.

    im very sorry to hear that .is a sad loss indeed.:angel1:
    if you decide to try again later on steps I take for all new irrivals whether in QT or main tank.I always dose the tanks with melafix for the first 3 days.in 4 1/2 yrs I have not lost one single fish(new arrivals) that were treated with melafix when added to the tanks I have however lost 50% of those fish I neglected to use melafix when adding.I use it more as a stress reducer so far it has been highly effective in reducing ich outbreaks caused by stress
