    FWIW, I've read that pretty much all fish have ich, but it only acts up in stressed fish, and tangs are notorious for getting stressed. Makes sense to me.
    120G Reef and 40B reef at work, 120G tank dry and dirty in the garage.

    makes sense to me too, now if i could just relax him a little bit !! he is coming sround the front of the tank more than he was. my hand on the glass doesn't even scare him anymore. maybe he is relaxing.

    Play some classical music. as crazy as it sounds the vibrations might get to him and sooth his little mind.

    it's actually that ich is present in many systems, particularly on the wholesaler/LFS level, not that the fish have it since ich is an ectoparasite.

    tangs are prone to ich due to their scale structure and lack of a thick slime coat. yes, stress can be a trigger, but the fish don't come with built-in ich.

    that's more what i meant, not that it's present in all fish, just that the odds of you buying a fish with ich already are relatively high.

    here ya go Jojo, the fish is doing great !! and looks much better than when i brought him home, here ya go see for yourself ... sorry man, my camera battery is dead, i will post pics later.
