    Nerite. Good small snail to have. Some are collected from intertidal areas and may climb out of the tank... so look out for that!

    Thanks Tom! So far she's stayed under water. I think she's laying eggs all over the glass. Can't see who else could be doing it. See the white dots?

    Yup. They will lay eggs. Unfortunately, they never result in more snails. I can't remember why exactly... some larval stage requirement that can't be met in a tank.

    My Lab was checking it out. I saw her licking the carpet, turned on the lights to see a "trail" where the snail climbed up on the rim of the tank, down the side, on the floor, then cruised around the tank for a bit. The lab was licking the trail, then I saw the snail.
