thanks for the help. even if the bta is putting the food in his mouth and about to eat it , the tang will reach in and pull it away. i'll try the spot feeding what food would be good enough nutrition to feed him?

Last week, my anemone was back against the heater and i think he might of gotten burned. now there is a weird lump on his side with white stuff on it.

Ouch! Just keep trying. I found that my BTA would only eat what it wanted, when it wanted (it did not like shrimp of any kind at all... go figure). It would not grab any food it did not want, so if the food fell out of the tentacles it was fair game for the fish, snails, crabs, whatever. Its clown host would religiously try to take its food, so I had to stand there on guard to shoo him away until the food was far enough into the mouth for the clown to steal it. HTH.

he doesn't ever seem to take the food with his tenticals. the one time he did eat good he opened his mouth real big and kind of roll the food to his mouth and it would just fall in. then he just closes his mouth. but that takes like 15 min. and by then i wouldn't be able to keep the tang away and gets it or the BTA just doesn't put the food in it's mouth.

i'm gonna have to put the anemone in a Q-tank because he's not doing well. usually when the light goes on he puffs up and looks good, but today he wouldn't even puff up when the light went on. the big lump with white bumpy stuff is just getting bigger also so i don't think he's gonna make it, but who knows maybe somehow he will pull through.
