I recently purchased an Algae Free 100 magnet for holding a pre-skimmer box in place. The 100's mags are designed to hold a Tunze in place thru 3/4" glass, and it's total overkill. #20 on clearance at ReefGeek.
Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too.

Jamie, the parts are being milled for the skimmer slots this weekend. I am assuming you have the magnet covered. Correct ? Need to discuss shipping as it will be done in a day or two . Better yet PM an address and I will just send it. On me,total freebie !

Hey Miz, I don't know if you could do this, but I know these: Vertex Magnet at Bulk Reef Supply are made out of clear acrylic so you could probably bond them right onto the acrylic preskimmer box for an overall low profile package. A few squirts of weldon 16 on the back of the magnet should hold them in place.

Hope it is as expected ! I slotted all four sides so it will skimm better.

Photo bucket keeps turning the picture for some reason but you get the idea anyway. Hope it makes your day a little better
