Dakar.....I told Susan how I started the Gw culture, but I will post it here just incase anyone else was wondering how I did it. By accident, that's how I ordered a pod culture and I dumped it into an 8g. tank that I house a few sw feeder shrimp and some razor caulerpa in. (the water in the bag was green) I noticed about a week later that the water in the 8g was getting pretty green. I dumped 1/2 of the water from the 8g into an empty IO bucket and replaced it with new SW. It turned green again, so I dumped 1/2 into the same IO bucket again and replaced it again. (I saved the water from the first dump by accident.....I just never emptied it out) That water was very dark green. I added an airline and it was getting lots of light from the tank next to it, and it's been going crazy since then. I decided to save the green water for the rotifer cultures for the H. Reidi fry we have at work. Otherwise I probably would have dumped it out by now. The only thing I use it for at home is to grow out brine shrimp.
