Awesome. I had noticed that they looked a little lame after a water change. I imagine with the addition of the sump and such it was a more drastic change. I was worried because they were pretty bad looking at first.
Usually when I buy a new shroom and put it in my tank it opens right up and looks better then what it did in the store. I was afraid that some sort of chemical had been introduced into the tank from somewhere.

Nope... just different water. AS MUCH as you get PH, temp, alk, calcium in your new water to match the display tank, there is NO WAY a hobbyist can match the water exactly, element to element. Those slight changes are enough to make soft coral, scaleless fish, and other sensitive inverts a little 'skittish'.

At the same time, the subtle changes in water, due to water changes, can cause GOOD things. For instance, I, and many others, note that our cleaner shrimp molt due to water changes. The added calcium, trace elements etc. create an "indicator" to the shrimp that conditiions are right to shed the old duds and build anew.

Keep an eye on yer shrooms, and let us know if you need more help. Don't stay too close, or they make you a lil' light in the head! :D

Or was that the zoanthid soup I had for lunch...dunno

Shrooms are a bit finicky about their location. I had a rock that was full of shrooms. I put it in my tanks and they looked fine for about a day and 1/2. Then all of a sudden they started coming off. I FREAKED!! Eventually they were all gone. They settled in a spot in the tank and have now opened up bigger and prettier than even in the lfs. Just keep an eye on them. Good Luck
