Anyone wanting to update/edit their entry to have the image hosted here on CR, per contest instructions, can may do so. We will hold off a couple days on judging.

Here is the link to upload a photo here on CR. Your Album It's pretty straight forward to upload and once you do, the system provides the bbcode that you can copy and paste into posts on CR.

i think they should be DQ'd because they didn't follow the rules. But that is just my own opinion.

From a CR standpoint, there is a benefit to getting the pictures uploaded into the user albums, they add content to the site and are used in the album rotation on the home page. So, I would rather see the great photos submitted this month added to the site than disqualified and never seen again. The best way to accomplish this is to extend the opportunity for members to correct their submittal.

I also realize that CR has features that many members aren't familiar with and may not know how to use. I would like to get to the point where the majority follow the POTM rules rather than don't follow the rules (which is where we are now) since this is a monthly contest. Several photos were DQ'd last month because of the same issue and it didn't seem to help with correcting the situation this month. So I am trying a different approach this month...Giving members the chance/incentive to correct their submittal hopefully will help with learning how to use the album feature.

If there is confusion on how to use the user album feature, please feel free to ask. I will try to do a tutorial on it soon so we can link it to the photo contest.

yeah i understand i was just giving me opinion. I understand the good meaning behind it but i see it as you are breaking the rules of the contest by extending it further instead of addressing the issue before the contest was over, and i see it as it is unfair to those who have done it right because it lowers their odds at winning because those members who didn't follow the rules have a rebuttal chance to come back and win. It just only seems fair that way, and since the issue got stressed so late i think it should just be really stressed on Julys contest instead of affecting Junes contest.

Just my opinion though and you are the moderator of the forum. Sorry if it sounds grumpy i wasn't trying to be that way i am just trying to say my point. =)

good luck to all by the way! lots of wonderful pictures!

while we are on the topic i figured i would give one more opinion if it hasn't been brought up yet.

There should be a rule that if you used a photo lets say in June's POTM contest then you cannot use that photo for any other contest until June of the next year.

This will bring more variety and originality to photos submitted for contest. Just an idea to help again!
