No babies yet. I checked again this morning. Those fish are so skittish! I didn't get a good look before they darted back into their cave, but the male's jaws were still pushed out. Not sure if it's a new batch or the old batch. LOL

I was guesstimating that he be ready to spit sometime within the next week, based on how long he held the live batch that I got out. He seemed to hold those for an extra few days.

I fed them this morning and only the female darted in and out to get to the mysis, so maybe this is a good sign. At the same time, I positioned the flow in such a way that it pushes food right into their cave, so they really need to never come out. ...what was I thinking?? LOL

I keep a new set of freshly hatched brine ready to go, so I'm ready when they are!!

And, there are not going to be any babies this time. Papa came out eating this morning....but there are no babies. Unless they are hiding in the cave. I did not tear apart the tank to look. I would be shocked if they were there.

So back to square one. Time to feed papa 3-4x a day so he doesn't die from starvation!
