Default UPDATE 9wk old H. Erectus fry pics

It's been awhile since I updated they baby pics. They are 9 weeks old now. I'm trying to get them to eat frozen, but not having much luck. I am now soaking their enriched bbs in garlic extreme. In a few days I will mix in some frozen bbs with the live and garlic extreme. Then add cyclo-peeze to the mix, them add shaved mysis to the mix. I'm afraid that if I don't get them on to frozen foods asap, I will loose all of them. BBS can not sustain them very long. I KNEW getting them onto frozen foods was going to be my biggest challenge. Darn it anyways!!!

    Here are the pics.

I've chanted, screamed, yelled, whispered softly, and prayed. Ohhhhh and muttered a few unmentionables quite a few times. It's a good thing they are not parrots. I'd hate to hear their first word, lol. My kids would know the language I use when they're not around, lol.

I did get them to eat the frozen cyclop-eeze...finally. Wednesday I plan to start adding shaved mysis to the mix.

I have set up another kreisel tank. This time for CB H. Reidi's that we have at work. 3 of the males are preggers. One is huge, lol. I will be bringing some of the fry home to try raising them. There is no hope for them at the LFS, even though I have a 5g tank with a kreisel set up there too. I explained how they needed to be transferred to the kreisel untill I get there to pick them up. The owner wants to try to raise some of them at the store. I give that a week, lol. Then I will have them all at my house. I have no idea when the egg transfers took place so I'm just waiting. I'm guessing they are due around the 24th or the 25th. Christmas Fry !!

Default 4 month old fry pics

Here are some updated pics of my 4 month old fry. I never got them to eat frozen so they are tiny yet. The do eat enriched adult brine shrimp and pods. They are in a 3.5g eclipse tank with a nano HOB filter on my desk.

I'm ordering live mysis shrimp for them on Monday. Maybe if I can get them to eat live mysis for awhile, they will switch easier to the frozen?? I can only hope.

There are 3 in the green plant on the right and 1 on the small plant in the middle. They hide very well. I will try to get more pics after the weekend. ( I work all weekend at the LFS)
